This is the standard halyard lead that comes with Furlex series 104/204. It is made of stainless steel and therefore only to be used for rope halyards – not wire. If you are using a wire halyard, order the bronze lead 508-159-03R instead. Bronze is softer than wire and therefore prevents damages to your halyard. The bronze version was included in all Furlex A, B, 100S, 200S/TD, 104S and 204S/TD from 1983 – 2024. The kit comes complete with halyard lead, insulator to prevent contact between the stainless fitting and the aluminium mast section, M6 self-tapping screws and a ø5,3 mm drill-bit. Important information on why you need a halyard lead!Incorrect halyard routing can result in ”halyard wrap” which may cause severedamage to the forestay, and put the entire rig at risk.
